YACHTMASTER OFFSHORE SHOREBASED CERTIFICATE COURSE

The Yachtmaster Offshore shorebased course is a fast moving and demanding course. It is the logical step if you wish to expand your existing navigation and seamanship skills.

It is ideally suited to skippers and crews who have previously completed a Yachtmaster Coastal course or who have an equivalent knowledge.

The chartwork exercises and assessments will be completed on the latest ISA Yachtmaster Offshore practice charts and harbour plans together with the ISA Training Almanac which have been specially prepared for the ISA for this course.

Starting where the Coastal course finished the Yachtmaster Offshore brings you to the next level of confidence explaining secondary port tidal height calculations basic yacht and motor boat stability and design factors as well as extended chartwork, passage planning and pilotage in complex situations.

The full Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of competence is a highly prized and widely recognised qualification; successful completion of this shorebased element is based on attendance and completion of the assessment papers, 3 of which are invigilated.
